Mornings are hard, especially now that we spend so much time at home and summer is coming to an end. I don’t know about you, but even if you are a morning person they are becoming increasingly hard, but don’t worry, this epic morning routine will help you start your day, be productive, and have a positive attitude.
If you are in college or working from home, this routine will also help you get into the right headspace so you can separate “home” from “work” even if you are in the same room.
Right now life is changing and we need to adapt, create new habits, have an organized lifestyle, and love the way our lives are turning out.

EPIC MORNING ROUTINE TO START THE DAY RIGHT
I like to think of myself as a morning person since I feel more productive before lunch and it motivates me to think I still have the whole day ahead to do everything on my list. But now that I am home all day it is hard to get in the right headspace and not get distracted by the things I have to do around the house. That is why my epic morning routine helps me have a productive day, separate “work” from “home” and have some time for myself.
Remember that you don’t need to do it in the same order or do everything on the list. The key to an epic morning routine is to adapt it to your lifestyle and day so it feels more natural to you!
MAKE YOUR BED
This is a psychological action. By making your bed you are telling your brain it’s time to wake up and get going. Also if your bed is already made chances are you won’t go back to sleep.
WATER YOUR PLANTS – PLAY WITH YOUR PETS
It is a way of slowly waking up by giving love to the other living things in your home. By giving love you will feel energized and you can start thinking about your day. If you live with other humans don’t forget to give them love too haha!
EXERCISE – TAKE A WALK – GO TO THE GYM
Move your body. Whatever it is you do, do it with intention so your muscles can stretch and grow stronger. Your body is what carries you through life, so give back some love to it and try to keep it in optimal conditions so it can carry you for longer.
JOURNAL – READ THE NEWS – BLOG – BRAINSTORM IDEAS
Now that your body is active and awake, it’s time to do the same with your brain. By dumping your ideas onto a paper or reading you are allowing your thoughts to flow freely. This will help you concentrate on work later during the day and you are not going to be distracted by all the other things that “clog” your mind.
BREW A CUP OF TEA OR COFFEE – ENJOY EVERY SIP
You have body and mind covered, now it’s time for the soul and the belly! Think of this moment as your me-time. A simple pleasure that can make you happy for the rest of the day. Just think of that first sip when the drink is just right: delightful-warm-happy!
PREPARE BREAKFAST – ENJOY IT
This one is related to the one before. You can obviously do them at the same time since it’s the same principle. Plus you will start the day with a full tank ready to go.
TEXT/CALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO SEE HOW THEY ARE DOING
After taking care of yourself, think about your loved ones. Ask them how they are doing, what are their plans for the day, and keep in touch. This will make you happy and help you feel like you belong somewhere other than work.
CLEAN AND TIDY YOUR SPACE
Before you start to work make sure your working area is ready to be used. Check you have everything you need (chargers, paper, pens, etc.) and it is easy to find it. This will make your work easier and set you on the right track for the day.

MAKE A LIST OF THINGS TO DO DURING THE DAY
Once you are ready to start your workday, make sure you are not going to forget anything. I love making lists for everything and it helps me keep track of time and workload.
